Aprofood has extensive experience in food testing. Our laboratory is capable of accurately detecting biogenic amines and acrylamide in food, and provides results with a fast turnaround time, helping customers assess the safety of their products or raw materials.
Biogenic amines are a class of low-molecular-weight organic bases, mainly produced by microbial decarboxylation of amino acids. They are commonly found in fermented foods, pickled meats, and fermented bean products. Biogenic amines mainly include tyramine, histamine, putrescine, cadaverine, phenylethylamine, tryptamine, spermidine and spermine, and are key risk factors in many food poisoning incidents. Their content and proportion can reflect important indicators of the quality and hygiene status of food and feed products, and are called the biogenic amine index (BAI).

Acrylamide is a potential carcinogen formed during high-temperature processing (such as frying, baking) of reducing sugars and asparagine through the Maillard reaction, and is widely present in daily foods such as potato chips, bread, and coffee.
Aprofood has the capability to detect the levels of biogenic amines and acrylamide in various complex foods (liquid, solid, semi-solid and processed foods) and feed matrices, covering the entire process from raw material selection to product manufacturing. We help customers conduct biogenic amines and acrylamide identification and quantitative analysis for high-risk food categories.

Analysis Methods:
Fish and seafood (such as fish sauce), processed potatoes, grain products, coffee products, infant foods, pet foods, baked and fried foods rich in carbohydrates, etc.
We offer comprehensive test reports, which include the following contents:
Q1: What is the detection process like?
Q2: What is the minimum detection limit?
Q3: Can it detect multiple components simultaneously for analysis?
Q4: How is data confidentiality ensured?
Aprofood provides high-quality food testing services to clients by a professional technical team (covering expertise in food science, analytical chemistry, etc.). We support both single-component analysis and simultaneous multi-component testing, offering customized solutions to meet specific needs.
