Common Anti-inflammatory Ingredients

  • Curcumin. Curcumin is a natural compound found in turmeric and has potent anti-inflammatory properties. It inhibits various inflammatory pathways and mediators, including NF-kB and COX-2, thus reducing inflammation in the body.
  • Resveratrol. Resveratrol is a polyphenol in grapes, red wine, and certain berries. It has anti-inflammatory effects by modulating various inflammatory signaling pathways and reducing the production of inflammatory cytokines.
  • Omega-3 fatty acids. In fatty fish and fish oil supplements, omega-3 fatty acids, especially eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) possess anti-inflammatory properties. They can reduce the production of pro-inflammatory molecules and promote the synthesis of anti-inflammatory molecules.
  • Quercetin. Quercetin is a flavonoid found in various fruits, vegetables, and herbs. It acts as an antioxidant and exhibits anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting inflammatory enzymes and reducing the production of inflammatory cytokines.
  • Gingerol. Gingerol is a bioactive compound found in fresh ginger. It has anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting COX-2 and reducing the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines.
